Ireland is Brazil for Kids

To paraphrase a colleague:

After moving back to Brazil, my wife would prefer to live in Ireland again, despite having family there who help with our kids. It’s safe for her in Ireland.

Nothing has ever “happened” to her in Brazil, but where I live in Brazil, you never fully know she’s safe. She never feels fully safe. I suggest to her “don’t go here, don’t go there”, because there are places that are not safe for her.

Take a group of 6-7 year old kids in Limerick who want to play outside in their residential area.

Even though nothing has ever “happened” to them, don’t they have the right to Be in the public space, without fear of death?
